Hurricane Fire & Rescue proudly protects approximately 10,000 people living in an area of 100 square miles. We operate out of one station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.

Hurricane Fire & Rescue provides the City of Hurricane and surrounding area with fire, rescue and ALS first responder services. The department is funded by a county-wide fire service fee, which is administered by the Putnam County Fire Service Board, and by the City of Hurricane. The department currently has members assigned to the Putnam County Fire Investigation Team and the Putnam County HazMat Team.
